Reconnecting Marvila Beato

Once an agricultural landscape, and later an industrial hub, the Marvila Beato neighborhood on Lisbon’s eastern riverfront has suffered from years of neglect, producing deteriorating infrastructure and rising social inequality.

This sustainable design project imagines a network of interventions that increase access to essential services, restore ecological function, and foster community connection.
